Queensbury football player dies as result of illness | News
QUEENSBURY –A junior linemn for the Queensbury High School football team died Tuesday at Albany Medical Center where he was taken because of a serious infection.
John Vasiliou, 16, is being remembered as a good kid and a hard worker.
After a meeting with Warren County health officials, school physician Dr. Dan Larson is recommending members of the football teams receive a dose of a preventative medicine.
The football team has suspended practice.
It is unknown at this time what the infection was.
